About Us

Hello!

I started showing dogs when I was nine: first Keeshonden, then Goldens. I apprenticed with professional handlers and showed many breeds in the Sporting, Hound, Working, and Herding groups.

I worked for professional handler Coral Appleton of Oklahoma and bought my first juniors dog from Gloria Kerr, now an all-breed judge. I co-owned this Golden, Krishna Tawa Karisma, with Gloria, and she produced many conformation champions.

Though I graduated high school with only occasional attendance, college was less forgiving. I stopped showing dogs in my early 20s and focused on my PhD in history and raising four children.

My daughter introduced me to longhaired miniature dachshunds and I was drawn in once again! My Dachshunds bring so much joy to my life.
